About

Gonzo journalism is journalism that has given up the pretense that it is objective, detached and impassive, and instead it seeks to get a perspective on its subject by getting hopelessly entangled in it.  Often the result is just a pretentious and indulgent mess, at least when it comes to journalism.  However, when it comes to theology this seems to me to be a very important, and often neglected approach.  Theology does not occur in pristine abstraction but the ambiguous realm of life as it is actually lived by real people.
